Theatre - Hoping to get back to business soon


It's certainly no laughing matter! Oh no it's not! 

 Theatre & the entertainments industry in general has take more that its fair share of body blows over the last year. Some have held on by their fingernails and some have dropped into the abyss... Hardly any of them have had any decent financial help at all. 

What is even sadder is the total disregard shown by the Government for freelancers in the entertainments industry. They make up a vast part of the skills and skilled infrastructure which makes this industry work!

Without any work, these wonderful people have had to find work elsewhere to help keep a roof over their heads. Many theatres have come up with other ways of creating a modest income and to maintain awareness in the community however as we are not allowed to perform indoors, it means streaming performances or working outdoors! 

We are all hoping that this virus has taken a downward turn and will continue to do so... so we can eventually open up again. 

Another year without pantomime will devaastate even more of this wonderful industry known as Entertainments!
